This is the web page of our theory group at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, working on the physics of the fundamental interactions.
Overview
We are a group of faculty members whose research spans a continuum from the nuclear/particle border through Standard Model physics and new phenomena beyond the Standard Model into theoretical cosmology and classical and quantum gravitational physics. We enjoy this breadth because it means that a wide range of interesting physics is being discussed locally. Our students tend to work collaboratively with more than one faculty member over the course of their studies, and this helps to provide a broader education.

Amherst Center for Fundamental Interactions
The theory group is part of the Amherst Center for Fundamental Interactions. Please visit the ACFI webpage to learn more about our activities. That page is hopefully being kept more up to date than this one, and visitors should go there for recent information.
Seminars
We run a weekly seminar, most often on Tuesdays at 2:30 but sometimes on Friday at 2:15. These are run jointly with our experimental colleagues. The listings for these are maintained on the Departmental seminar page.
