About PVSS

Does stress affect health?

The Pioneer Valley Stress Study (PVSS) is a research project that is trying to understand how different forms of stress affect the health of different women. A primary focus of this current work is on how stress may contribute to health inequities experienced by women of different sexual orientations.

With this current focus, we recruit women with different sexual identities, including straight, lesbian, bisexual, queer, etc. in order to understand differences or similarities in forms of stress and health.
