The search for physics beyond the Standard Model is one of the top priorities for nuclear science. The mission of the BSM-NP Working Group is to provide the community with up-to-date experimental and theoretical results — including representative plots, tables and references — that show the impact of nuclear physics studies of fundamental symmetries and neutrino properties in determining the larger framework in which the Standard Model resides. The Working Group is organized into several topical groups, largely following the organization of a recent issue of Progress in Particle and Nuclear Physics(link is external) that contains a series of review articles intended to provide background for this website.

The sensitivity of these systems to various underlying CP-violating operators is presented, along with an assessment of the theoretical uncertainties associated with atomic, hadronic, and nuclear calculations. Illustrative beyond Standard Model EDM results are reviewed, with a particular emphasis on recent work. Tables 7 and 13 provide a summary of “best” values and “reasonable ranges” for the hadronic and nuclear matrix element computations.
