Thinking of going to graduate school but aren’t sure where to start? Come to the first Graduate School Group conversation about researching and applying to graduate school. Choosing a program (professional vs. academic programs), the application time line, a “day in the life” of a graduate student- and more!!

Wednesday, November 18
Work Abroad Fair
Work Abroad Information Fair, on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 12:00 noon — 3:00 p.m. in the Campus Center Concourse. There will be representatives from organizations offering Teaching Abroad jobs, US Department of State, representatives from several countries which have opportunities for teaching English, the ESL Certificate Program at International Languages Institute in Northampton, and the graduate program in Intercultural Management at the School for International Training in Brattleboro.
The "Get Your Passport Day" will also be of interest to students. Details about what a student needs to bring to apply for a passport are available in the "Announcements" section at the top of our new web page: www.ipo.umass.edu <http://www.ipo.umass.edu/>

Study Abroad 101
Sociology Majors! Are you interested in studying abroad? Come to our workshop THIS THURSDAY (Nov 19th) at 12:30 in Machmer W-32 and learn from an International Programs Office (IPO) representative all about studying abroad. You will also hear first hand experiences from a panel of Sociology students who have just gone abroad to places like Italy, Spain, Germany, etc. You will be able to ask them questions too! Snacks will be provided and we urge you to come join us and take this opportunity to learn more about studying abroad.
