Sociology Club COMING SOON!

Hello Everyone!

We have been working towards getting RSO approved by the SGA. We just wanted to check in with everyone and let you know that we are starting to brainstorm ideas for our kick off event so we can have it as soon as we finish with the red tape!

A few ideas we have been throwing around:

1- Holding a discussion about the upcoming elections: focusing on the social issues raised in the campaigns
2- Discussion about a popular book or movie this summer that raises sociological topics (if you have any suggestions we would love to hear them!)
3- Having a forum about career opportunities in the field

Additionally, if there is interest, we were going to try and recruit some faculty to hold lectures about what they are currently working on and the having a coffee hour to give everyone the opportunity to start building relationships with professors.
