Construction Site Tour of Mass. Ave Housing

Event Summary:
- One of the best AGC tours we’ve had!
- Led by Jason Venditti and project manager
- Great turnout
- Very cool to hear about a new rock gym, cafe, and student housing
- Fun fact: the building roofs slope downward away from Mass Ave and the buildings get smaller, so that the “feel” towards the back of the complex is more neighborhood-like to fit in with the existing neighborhoods
- Learned about the Tan Brook and sewage lines running underneath the site and rerouting
- Learned about pre-frabricated trusses, new fireproofing techniques, and CLT

- We heard about Courtney’s experience in the construction industry, as well as her adventures in self-publishing, lifestyle and work-life balance, and career goals

- Courtney sent us a signed copy of her recent children’s book Celeste Saves the City (inspiring kids to about being a civil engineer!)
- Courtney was AWESOME, 10/10 person and speaker
- We enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies. People really liked the cookies
