UMass Amherst’s ASCE Student Chapter annually competes in three design team competitions: the Seismic Design competition, hosted by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, and the Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge design competitions, both of which are hosted by ASCE.
Our members, freshman through seniors, consistently praise these design teams for giving them a hands-on, self-taught, and real-world applications of design and engineering.
