This is Adam Zucker’s Page.
I teach courses on Shakespeare and other early modern English writers at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. There are links above to my CV, to a page about books I’ve written or written for, and to my less-than-academic musical endeavors.
My new monograph, Shakespeare Unlearned: Pedantry, Nonsense, and the Philology of Stupidity was published by Oxford University Press in 2024.
Listen to a podcast interview with me about Shakespeare Unlearned on the New Books Network.
You can read about a map of Shakespeare’s plays I helped design for the new Folger Shakespeare Library Exhibit hall.
Watch a lecture and Q & A hosted by the Folger for secondary educators on Shakespearean cliché, Macbeth, and pedagogy: “Macbeth Without Ambition.”
A few of my published essays are available on my ScholarWorks page.
