Observations

Norfolk is the world headquarters of the animal rights organization PETA.
The extent of commercial shipping and military activity in the harbor is staggering.
The cruise ship captain bombarded us with statistics which I won’t attempt to summarize.
One procedure he mentioned that I had never heard of is “de-magnetizing” a ship.
As you can see from the photos below, I was really impressed by the cranes!
There is no admission charge to the centrally-located Chrysler Art Museum.
The Museum’s collection is impressive and a must-see for glass aficionados.
The self-guided Native Tree Trail is easy to follow and presents interesting tree facts.
