Return to Kaneohe

Marti and I were both up early this morning, as we had to be at Lihue Airport by 8 am.  Fortunately, the traffic was not backed up for miles, and we managed to return the rental car, check in, and process ourselves through security in time for our 8:40 flight.  Our older sister picked us up at the airport and drove us to her home in Kaneohe.

The early afternoon was taken up by mundane household activities, such as reading email and writing postcards; Marti and I also went shopping at Foodland and Long’s, a well-known local drugstore chain, which has apparently been bought out by CVS, headquartered on the East Coast, in Rhode Island.

Late in the day, my older niece drove me and my two sisters to Honolulu, where we met up with my younger niece.  We then dropped Amelia off at a friend’s house in Kaimuki, while we three adults and Miranda drove on to Kahala Mall.  We ate dinner at Panda Express and then browsed in some of the shops before returning to pick up Amelia and head on home.
