    Hi, Brittany

Yes for both of your questions. Transition metals do decrease in atomic radii from left to right. And on page 320 it says that transition metal change slightly.
    Hope this helps.

I know this is a little late but I’m a little stuck on the atomic radii for transitional metals. Does transitional metals decrease in atomic radii from left to right? If so does it only affect the size a little bit while in other groups the change from left to right affects the atomic radii a lot.

    Thanks,

On the owl hw 7.5f the feedback stated “In general, small atoms require more energy to ionize although the trend is not always smooth for ionization energy. ” Are we going to be responsible to know the exceptions for this?

Nicole, the exam will cover “chapters 5,6,7 and portions of 3 &21” that’s what he said in lecture but I’m not sure about which portions, he said just everything we’ve covered since last exam.. hope that helps
