The Computational Phonology Lab, co-directed by by Michael Becker, Gaja Jarosz, Joe Pater, and Kristine Yu, aims to facilitate research on computational phonology at UMass by making research and tools accessible to members of our community and others. Our definition of computational phonology is intentionally broad: it includes not only the study of computational implementations of phonology and its learning, but also the study of phonology using computational tools, such as typology calculators, web-based experiments and corpus searches.
