The activities of the Cognitive Science Initiative are currently being supported by a portion of the overhead for an external grant awarded to Joe Pater and Lisa Sanders, with matching overhead percentages from the Department of Linguistics, the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, and the College of Natural Sciences. In addition, interdisciplinary research on language is being supported by a generous gift from an individual faculty member.
