One Wednesday December 6th, Christ successfully defended her MS thesis. Multi-method Approach to Assess the Impact of Off-fault Deformation During Fault Evolution

She will start a new job at Tetratek in San Diego, CA in January. Congratulations Christ!

On August 8th Jenn Hatch (nee Beyer) successfully defended her PhD dissertation.

Numerical modeling of deformation within restraining bends and the implications for the seismic hazard of the San Gorgonio Pass region, southern California

Jenn completed 5 chapters of her thesis in 4 years and has already author (or co-author) on 4 submitted or published papers with several more in the works.  Very impressive!

Jenn soon starts her new job teaching 9th grade and AP physics at the Hotchkiss school.  Good luck Jenn! We will miss you!
