We (a collection of UMass faculty members) have created this blog as a forum for balanced discussion of Covid19 data and policy. We agree with this recent Scientific American article, which points out that scientific and policy-oriented discussion of Covid has become polarized to an unfortunate degree, resulting in lack of real dialogue between scientists and policy makers with different interpretations of the data, and in much self-censorship of minority views.
