Samuel Ocasio-Domínguez
Samuel Ocasio-Domínguez, M.S., is a Doctoral Psychology Intern at the Center for Counseling at Psychological Health at UMass Amherst. He is a 1st generation Puerto Rican student, earning a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Albizu University, Puerto Rico.
Ocasio-Domínguez was the recipient of the American Psychological Association (APA) Minority Fellowship, granted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the APA Minority Fellowship Program (MFP). As an MFP Fellow, he is specializing in multicultural psychology interventions for college students, urgent services, LGBTQ mental health and, Dialectical Behavior Therapy. He is one of the authors of the first research report about the experiences of LGBTQ students in Puerto Rico schools and, he is currently a member of the advisory committee of the first national report about the experiences of LGBTQ Latinx students in schools.
