#BlackInSTEM Panel at UMass Amherst
August 5, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
This is a time of both great uncertainty and great promise. The global pandemic and national awakening to racial violence has challenged us to consider our relationship to each other, our institutions, and established academic and social structures. #BlackInSTEM at UMass contributes to this conversation by providing a forum for Black and non-Black students of color to connect with and hear from Black faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students as they navigate careers in higher education.
Schedule
6:00-6:45 pm: Panel discussion and q&a with faculty
6:45-7:15 pm: Breakout sessions led by graduate students
7:15-7:30 pm: Closing questions and comments
