We apply engineering methods to improve decision-making around energy and the environment.
Some current projects are related to the energy justice implications of carbon capture, cooperative energy storage, and hydronic heat pumps; and the drivers of technological change, including patent-based methods and experience curves, with a focus on wind and carbon capture.
Recent projects are related to the sustainability of the New England electric grid; equitable energy expansion strategies in Africa; the sustainability of Mexico’s climate change goals; robust energy technology R&D portfolios; and engineering education in urban high schools.
