CO2Care for Cars

Abstract— The escalating concern over CO2 buildup within a car’s cabin has emerged as a pressing issue. In a world where vehicle transportation has become ubiquitous, the enclosed spaces of cars can act as a reservoir for CO2, thereby posing safety risks such as drowsiness, a major side effect that can relate to car accidents. Addressing this challenge effectively requires the development of a reliable system capable of detecting air CO2 concentration and communicating it to the car’s occupants in a clear and easily understandable manner, classifying it as either healthy, moderately unhealthy, or unhealthy. Furthermore, the system will collect precise data on CO2 concentrations and transmit it to a dedicated mobile app, allowing passengers to access real-time air quality information on their phones.
