Thomas the Delivery Train

Abstract— Automated robotic solutions have skyrocketed in popularity within the past handful of years, reaching from the manufacturing industry all the way to the consumer home care industry. Autonomous robotics help to reduce human inefficiencies and save time for all parties involved. Thomas the Delivery Train aims to expand on the human time savings and efficiencies that robotics has brought to the food delivery industry. We will do this by increasing space efficiency in regards to capacity, on top of prior performance that robotics has demonstrated. Our system will have modular capacity through the addition of towed storage cars, as well as a sensor suite and electro-mechanical systems to accurately and safely drive the robot.
