Center for Research on Families Undergrad Research Awards

The Center for Research on Families (CRF) has two categories of undergraduate-level awards:

CRF Undergraduate Assistantship Award
One assistantship award in the amount of $3,000 will be given to a UMass Amherst undergraduate student (rising junior or senior) who exhibits the potential to make outstanding contributions to the field of family research* and seeks further mentoring in this area. This student will assist a faculty member with his or her research on families. Learn more and apply for the Undergraduate Student Assistantship! Applications for this recognition of a rising junior or senior for the 2017-2018 academic year are due on March 10, 2017.

CRF Honors Thesis/Capstone Project Award
One award in the amount of $500 will be given to a UMass Amherst undergraduate student, currently in his or her senior year, whose Honors Thesis or Capstone Project focuses on family issues. Learn more and apply for the Honors Thesis/Capstone Award! Applications for this recognition of a current senior (Class of 2017) are due on March 10, 2017.

*Family research is broadly defined and encompasses all disciplines.
