About the Book and its Author: see Literary Reference Center

Literary Reference Center is a new addition to our online collections that delivers from book chapters and journal articles of literary criticism, as well as a literary glossary, a literary-historical timeline, and a literary encyclopedia. You can search for specific titles and authors, or browse lists of works and authors.

A search for “Jane Austen” and Emma produces 97 records; you can browse the complete list or by type, such as biographies, plot summaries, literary criticism, reviews and periodicals. Other features of Literary Reference Center include spotlights on specific authors and works, a person of current interest (e.g. Charles Simic, the new Poet Laureate),  and lists most studied authors and works.

Additional reference sources about literature in our online collections include Literature Resource Center and Literature Online.
