Accessible Archives Collections on Trial

Dictionary of American Regional English on Trial

The Dictionary of American Regional English is a new publication from Harvard University Press and its entries include words, phrases and pronunciations that are unique to different areas across the United States. You can browse for words by region (e.g. eastern Georgia, northern New York, Appalachians, West, etc.) and look at their definitions and quotes using the word at different periods of time. Some entries include audio recordings. You can also see the survey questions used to identify the dictionary entries.

Classical Scores Library Volume II and Volume III from Alexander Street Press are on trial through January 19th, 2014.

It provides expanded coverage of great choral works and instrumental scores for brass, woodwind, and other instrument groups.
