Trial Access to Historical Black Newspapers
The Libraries now have trial access to Atlanta Daily World (1931-2003); Los Angeles Sentinel (1934-2005); New York Amsterdam News (1922-1993); Pittsburgh Courier (1911-2002). These newspapers can be searched together as Historical Black Newspapers.
The Libraries have an existing subscription to the Chicago Defender, also classified as a historical black newspaper, through its Black Studies Center database.

Trial of State Colonial Papers Now Available
Through June 30th, 2008 UMass community members can test the State Colonial Papers database.
