Contemporary World Music is Here

The Libraries have added Contemporary World Music to our collection of streaming audio databases. From Alexander Street Press, you can browse musical tracks by instrument, cultural group, genre, people, place and more, or you can search by keyword or specific indexed field. If you create an account, you can make your own playlists and collections and save them. Find and listen to musical genres  such as reggae, worldbeat, neo-traditional, world fusion, Balkanic jazz, African film, Bollywood, Arab swing, Indian classical, fado, flamenco, klezmer, zydeco, gospel, gagaku, and more.

Berg Fashion Library Now Available

Berg Fashion Library collects images and encyclopedic coverage of dress and fashion. You can browse by time period back to the 17th century, or place. You can search books and journals by author, title, publication date, etc. and images by object type, date and designer or manufacturer. The Library also includes several lesson plans.

MarketLine – A New Source for Market Data, Reports

MarketLine present business data for companies, industries and geographic areas, all of which you can browse. You can also search for these and case studies, company news and financial deals. Industry reports include market outlook, data and segmentation; a “five forces analysis” of buyer power, supplier power, new entrants, substitution threats and rivalry; and leading companies. Company reports address the business overview; history; key officer biographies; locations and subsidiaries; SOT analysis; competitors; and major products and services.

Routledge Performance Archive is Live

The Libraries have a new subscription to Routledge Performance Archive, a database of streaming audio and visual theater performances with critical commentary. You can browse content through A-Z lists of practitioners, subjects (including Actor & Actor Training, Comedy, Form & Genre, Political Theater & Performance, etc.) and commentaries. You can also search by keyword.

New Trial for Public Documents Masterfile

Public Documents Masterfile brings together 19 sources of U.S. government information and provides indexing for current and historic documents covering public policy, physical sciences, technology, agriculture and the social sciences. You can search by keywords or limit by source, author, SuDoc number and date.
