Nicole Yunes Perez (2020-2022 Peer Advisor)

Hey y’all!

Within our greatly diverse major, I am mostly interested in an ecology and evolutionary biology track. In the past, I’ve worked in Dr. Baoshan Xing’s lab studying the effectiveness of nanoparticles as an eco-friendly fungicide for rice seedlings. I worked in Dr. Ashley Keiser’s lab performing CO2 gas and gravimetric analysis on soils. I currently work as an intern for US Fish and Wildlife Services. I’m originally from the Dominican Republic but since moving to the U.S. I have moved around Massachusetts countless times. Sometimes I say I’m from Natick, Fitchburg, or Leominster but now I live in Sunderland 🙂 You can contact me about any Environmental Science major, Biology minor, scheduling, or just general college resource related questions. My email address is nyunesperez@umass.edu.
