Faculty search on ATLAS

The Department of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst has begun an expansion of its faculty. As part of this expansion, the Physics Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental high energy physics to start September 1, 2017. The Department is currently involved in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC and is heavily engaged in muon software as well as searches for new phenomena at the Energy Frontier. The department is interested in candidates that can play a leading role in the ATLAS detector upgrade for the HL-LHC.
