IE Proposal Examples

(Submit an IE Proposal)

The IE Specific Option Proposal asks the proposer to explain how the IE option will address the 3 IE criteria, describe the instructional approach, and upload a syllabus. This web page aims to support proposers in writing effective IE proposals and syllabi.

Note on IE Syllabi: The General Education Council has found that many proposals have good information about how the course/option will address the IE criteria, but that the uploaded syllabi often lack sufficient information regarding the Integrative Experience requirement and purpose and its connection to the course/option assignments and content. The proposals on this web page contain syllabi that were found to contain satisfactory explanations and descriptions of assignments/activities.

For examples of proposals that specifically address reflection (IE criterion 1), please see this page.
