SWE Junior Engineering Girl Scouts Day Saturday April 25th

The Society of Women Engineers are in need of a couple more volunteers for Junior Engineering Girl Scouts Day this Saturday, April 25th and would love to have some of the GWIS women help out. This year the girl scouts are building solar cars and learning about alternative energies. Each volunteer will primarily work with a group of 2-4 girls and help them think outside the box when building their solar cars.

The event will be held in the Gunness Student Center in Marcus Hall on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

If you are interested please email Tiffany (tphua@umass.edu) saying you are interested and fill out the following Doodle poll: http://doodle.com/8rrdtcdsxtw898qi78xwdq24/admin#table.

The day is split into two shifts – morning and noon. We are also having a quick training session to review how the solar cars will be assembled tomorrow (Friday April 24th) at 6PM in the SWE room (Marston 34). If you have the time, please come by! Attached is the agenda for the day as a guide for yourself.

This is a great opportunity for us women in the STEM field to reach out to the community. I hope you will consider joining this event!

Thank you,

Tiffany, SWE Vice President
