This was an informal event where undergraduate women could speak with graduate women in STEM. The focus of this event was to inform undergraduates of summer research opportunities, such as REUs, international research, and opportunities here at UMass.
The event was a great success! We had close to 10 graduate students and 30 undergraduate students. We gave a short presentation describing opportunities for undergraduate summer research on-campus, across the US, and even internationally. This event had a waitlist of over 60 students! Due to the demand, we will re-run this event in early Spring next semester. We’d like to thank Black Sheep Deli in Amherst for the delicious food!
