UMass Grad Students Dive into Improv

Last Thursday at our Improve Your Communication with Improv! Workshop, six UMass graduate students from different areas of STEM came together to loosen up and practice some exercise that will help them become more effective communicators.  We played games such as “Who Am I?” (pictured below) and “Presentation Karaoke”, and students were asked to explain their research in thirty words or less using only the 1000 most commonly used English words.  We’ll be running this event again early next fall, and we’ll be capping participation at fifteen, so make sure you sign up early!
