My fabulous colleague Whitney Battle-Baptiste has inspired me to make my blog into…a bona-fide blog.  For the past four years, it has been a nice little webpage without the luxuriant messiness of under-edited, half-baked weekly-ish musings.  Today, all that’s going to change.  In the coming weeks, you can expect to read posts on what I have been reading lately, as well as what’s exciting in the worlds of anthropology, qualitative research methods, the cultural politics of the environment, food, and cities, and whatever else catches my fancy on a particular day.  You can also expect to see a lot of productivity porn because that’s my secret academic vice.  Ciao for now, folks.
