- Add at least three hypertext links

- Add at least three hypertext links to distinctive angle post written for class 7 and revised for class 9. .
- Search for and survey three vloggers that somehow capture your interest.
- These should fall within the broad categories of 1. Personal and/or entertainment (these often overlap); 2. Public (political); 3. Diversity (representing a race/ethnic/national identity different that your own).
- Several vlogging directories are listed below; while some are not completely up to date, it’s interesting to at see what’s listed. If you find other useful vlog directories, note the web address to share with the class.
- Since you’ll be writing about these vloggers and sharing clips in class, take some time to find vloggers that seem particularly distinctive and engaging.
- Once you’ve found three, watch at least three vlogs for each vlogger, for a total of nine.
- To get a sense of how they’re received, survey some responses in the comments section.
- Keep a list of the web addresses (URL) for videos you’ve watched. This may include other vloggers you sample but chose not to focus upon.
- Please don’t select Jenna Marbles or Dom Mazzetti.
- Write as if you’re writing a few paragraphs to upload as a blog post. Make it interesting and personable using your own voice.
- In a sentence or two, characterize the general focus, qualities, and style of each vlogger.
- Discuss some stories and topics they convey.
- What’s the format? E.g. a single-take or edited; shooting style, e.g. seated direct address to the camera, handheld selfie, wandering around documentary style, etc.; setting; production values; what else do you notice about how it’s produced and what the production format conveys?
- What are the pleasures? What do you get from their performances?
- What if anything might you say about how each vlogger is expressing some wider cultural meaning of our time?
- What else?
- Bring a paper copy to class.

Written assignments are single-spaced & typed in Times New Roman or Arial (size 12 font), 1-inch margins all around. Remember to proofread. First page should have a heading (single-spaced) that includes name, date, assignment title.
