Teaching Students Technology Skills

As the Spring 2013 semester begins to draw to a close, now is a good time to reflect on how we can help our students learn and use technology. Kim Mann, writing for the Academic Technology blog for College of William & Mary, has three simple suggestions:

  1. Create a tutorial using screenshots and/orĀ  screencasting software (e.g., Camtasia).
  2. Share existing tutorials from wikis, blogs, and product documentation.
  3. Ask students in the class who are familiar with a technology to give a demonstration.
