January 2014 Moodle News and Updates

Greetings!

Winter-Moodle-CowWith Add/Drop for Spring 2014 now behind us, we have some Moodle news and updates to share with you:

  • Fixed a bug with Turnitin
  • Improved touch screen and tablet PCs drag-and-drop functionality
  • Fixed bug with display of nested categories in the Moodle Gradebook

Fixed Bug with Turnitin

turnitin01When editing settings for a Turnitin assignment, you will no longer see errors.

Improved Touch Screen and Tablet PCs Drag-and-Drop Functionality  touch screen

You can now drag files into Moodle from your desktop. Depending on your platform, moving activities or sections already on your course page may still not work reliably using touchscreen input, but should work fine using a touchpad or mouse.

Fixed Bug with Display of Nested Categories in Moodle Gradebook grades

The display of grades for students is no longer broken when nested categories are hidden in the Moodle gradebook.

News Forum Fixes and Updates  Moodle News_Discussion

  • Deleted News forums can now be restored to an imported course.
  • Instructors will no longer receive emails from hidden News forums.

Other Minor Fixes & Improvements Inv-Icon_tools.svg

Moodle Updates for January 2014 included some minor behind-the-scenes tweaks to the Gradebook and quizzes.
