“What does dopamine represent in the brain?”
The Uchida laboratory is interested in understanding the neuronal processes by which sensory information and memory about previous experiences guide behavior of the animal. They have developed an odor-guided perceptual decision task in rodents that they combine with multi-electrode recordings to determine how neuronal activity causes behavior.
