Occupying Schools, Occupying Land

“A talk on the larger social movement in Brazil and their transformative work with teachers and students.”
Based on several years of participatory research, Tarlau’s recent book explores how MST ( landless workers’ movement) activists engage the state and have pressured the government to implement their educational institutions in helping sustain movements, to increase knowledge, and garner political power.
The Talk will be held at Furcolo Rm 101 (College of Education), Talk is set to begin at 12:30 pm and end at 2 pm.
