Welcome!!!

We are an interdisciplinary bioengineering research group at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Our mission is to develop enabling and translational platform technologies that advance fundamental biomedical research, address unmet clinical challenges, and ultimately improve patient care.

We design and engineer a broad range of biomaterials to build standardized, functional human tissue models and apply advanced multi-dimensional imaging techniques to quantitatively capture complex, dynamic biological processes.

Our collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment provides group members at all levels—undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral—with unique opportunities to develop technical expertise and intellectual depth at the interface of engineering and medicine.
