I just posted on the website the new, corrected version of the 2D Kinematics slides, as mentioned by Brian in class today. Remember that Assignment 1 is due on Tuesday in class. We will be finishing the Math Review on matrices, and beginning 3D Kinematics. Please read over Appendices D and E (on vectors and matrices) to get primed for 3D kinematics, and start reading Chapter 2 in the textbook (Chapter 2: Three-Dimensional Kinematics, by Joe Hamill & Scott Selbie). In particular for Tuesday, read the first part of the chapter (pages 35 to 45)…… and don’t panic, we will be discussing the material covered in those pages at length; you will most certainly be reading and re-reading this chapter in the next few weeks.
I will post the slides and notes for 3D Kinematics later, but probably before Tuesday’s class. Have a great weekend.
