Keir Moulton (Simon Fraser University, 2009 UMass PhD) was one of four international experts teaching at this year’s Göttingen Spirit Summer School (Göttingen, Germany). The topic of the summer school were complex clauses at the syntax-semantics interface. Phenomena discussed included relativization, sentential subordination, adverbial subordination, and clausal nominalization. The courses covered a wide range of languages, including Slavic, Germanic, Finno-Ugric, Indo-Aryan, Turkish, and Korean.
