Andrea Dallas joined the broader UMass Linguistics community this semester as the director of the ESL program, which is now housed in the Languages, Literatures and Cultures department https://www.umass.edu/llc/member/andrea-dallas. She has been collaborating with faculty from our department in developing a new on-line program in Applied Linguistics/TESOL. Andrea received her PhD in Linguistics in 2008 from the University of Florida with a dissertation entitled The influences of verbal properties on L2 filler-gap resolution: A cross-methodological study, and before coming here was most recently teaching English for Academic Purposes in Abu Dhabi.
