Ivy Hauser has been awarded an NSF Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement grant titled “Doctoral Dissertation research: Effects of phonological contrast on phonetic variation.” The NSF DDRI will provide funds to pay experiment participants and research assistants. Ivy Hauser presented “Within-category variation in Hindi and English stops” at the 176th meeting of the ASA as a poster in the special session on South Asian languages. The conference took place May 7-11 in Minneapolis, MN.
