The Linguistics Minor consists of five linguistics courses.

1. LINGUIST 201 How Language Works:  Introduction to Linguistic Theory (R2)
2. LINGUIST 301 Introduction to Syntax OR LINGUIST 302 Fundamentals of Speech Sounds (formerly LINGUIST 390A)
3. Two Linguistics department courses at the 300-level or above.
4. One Linguistics department course at the 400-level or above.

Notes on the Minor:

All courses must be taken for a letter grade. Courses from other departments may NOT be substituted.
