These include Graduate Research Fellowships and Doctoral Dissertation Research Grants, which our students have been quite successful in obtaining. There is also a post-doc grant opportunity.

The UMass Graduate School‘s research funding opportunities are listed on this web page:

These include Predissertation Research Grants, Dissertation Fieldwork Grants, Rapid Research Grants, Supplement for Travel with Children and Supplement for Public Engagement. The Graduate School also supplies the department with some money for funding graduate student travel, which we supplement with our own funds.
