To sign into your blog click here.
To add a post or a page, either click on the +New button, or go into the dashboard and navigate to posts or pages (you can see all your previous entries there too). To edit an already created post or page, you can look for “edit this page/post” when you are viewing it, or you can access it through the dashboard view.
To change the title and sub-title of your blog (tagline), in the Dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes > Customize. Also, by default, your blog displays posts on the home page (what people see when they come to your site). If you want to make the front page a static page, on the same “Customize” screen, choose “Static Front Page”. You’ll need to have a page already created to choose.
If you want a page to be a “sub-page” of another (see our class site for examples), look under “Page Attributes” on the edit screen for “Parent”, and choose the page that you want.
You can make a page visible only to certain people by clicking “edit” beside Visibility: Public, and choosing “password protected”. You can also wait to publish your work by saving it as a draft before you publish it. Make sure to “save” or “update” your work before you close your web-browser/computer, etc. WordPress does back-up, but it’s a pain to recover old work, and it might not get your latest changes.
