When you want to share files with people from your U-Drive, you need to set the permissions properly. To do this, sign into your U-Drive, and select a file or folder by clicking on it once. Then click on “Manage”, and choose Permissions. To let people see/hear your file, click on the radio button in the “Viewer/Read Only” column. You can also let people edit files if you want, but you don’t need to do that for what we are doing. If you want to share only with people at UMass, click the button in the “Authenticated Users” row. If you want everyone to have access, choose “Public”. Then choose “Apply”. If it’s a folder, you’ll be given the option to set the permissions for all of the files inside, which is what you’ll likely want to do.
