Math127 is a one-semester, 3-credit course. It is a basic calculus course with applications to problems in the life and social sciences. Topics covered include: functions and graphs, the derivative, techniques of differentiation, curve sketching, maximum-minimum problems, exponential and logarithmic functions, exponential growth and decay, and introduction to integration. Prerequisites are: Proficiency in high school algebra, including word problems. The links along the banner above this message will direct you to pages containing specific information.
We will be using a Blackboard website for this course. This website is where all course content and announcements will be. Homework assignments and exams are assigned, completed and graded in an online homework system called WileyPlus (see the Textbook and Homework page). Due dates for these are in your WileyPLUS account.
