Extra credit policy: If you decide to try any of the problems designated as extra credit, you can hand them in with the regular problems.  The scores on those problems will be kept separate from the regular homework totals, and at the end of the semester they will be used to adjust your final grade.  Doing EC problems will only raise your grade, by at most one or possibly two grade steps.
