Abstract:
This project scope was to integrate a system within Raytheon’s pre-existing process that will allow them to exchange quality information and data between suppliers and Raytheon. Currently, when Raytheon receives a shipment from suppliers, parts are checked to make sure they meet specifications and information is be sent directly to Raytheon staff who need it. With the current system, Raytheon faces numerous supplier issues due to the manufacturing of products nearly out of tolerance. With our system recommendations, Raytheon will be able to eliminate errors through more effective communication of design intent as well as increase the speed of manufacturing and assembly. To achieve this, we tested multiple software packages to integrate with Raytheon’s existing model-based engineering process to increase the velocity and efficiency of the completed system.
