Symmetry

This is a very important way to view the world.  For this course, symmetry will play an important role in defining molecular geometry, allowing us to measure geometry, and to construct molecular orbitals.

Goals: Identify symmetry elements: rotation, mirror plane, inversion center, improper rotation; Identify high/low symmetry point groups on sight
